ABOUT OZMIZ
In the mid-to-late 1990s, at the very beginning of widespread consumer adoption of mobile web and internet delivered data services, there was a wide-spread need for smarter presentation of the content designed and laid out for large pages on the very small screens of personal appliances like phones, digital cameras, e-readers, remote controllers and similar items.
In the early 2000s, OzMiz came up with a simple design to do just that - and then patented it. OzMiz Pty Ltd was formed in 2005 for the purpose of owning and managing its patent portfolio - granted in Australia, Canada, Israel, China, Indonesia South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and pending in the EU, the USA and India.
The patent describes a means of automatically manipulating information on small screens for easier viewing and reading. The first of the patents was formally granted in 2010. Many phone manufacturers and software makers implement some form of the OzMiz methods and systems and OzMiz sees significant licensing potential.
